Hi there, @Ali_medani !

if you already met the not-typical configuration requests for your network gear - i would suggest you to consider the NE40/NE20 series routers - they support L2/L3 on the same physical interface and can met other non trivial tasks that you can face soon :)

when binding the interface to the VPLS, the interface should be a layer 3 interface.
In addition,
interface xg 0/0/1.20
dot1q termination vid vlan-id
these configuration doesn't mean the sub-interface is a layer 2 interface. the layer 2 interface only can be enabled on the layer 3 interface, the configuration only indicates the interface can terminate the vlan.

hello bro morning to you , ok got your point , but any recommendation for a device that have xg interface and support L2 and L3 sub-interface on the same interface .

@Ali_medani, you can use the interface with "portswitch" command and apply vlan to this interface. The vlan that need L3 you can create "interface vlanif", the vlan that need L2 could be used normally.

vlan batch 10 20

Interface xg0/0/1
portswitch
port link-type trunk
port trunk allow-pass vlan 10 20

int vlan 10
ip add xx.xx.xx.xx

When you use sub-interface, the vlan cannot be used in L2 mode.

thnx all for your support , it really means alot to me , the solution was to give vpls on sub-interface ( layer 2 vpn ) again on the same physical interface will be two sub-interfaces with L3 vpn-instance ( VRF ) . we have done L2 VPLS with the help of Vlan-stacking and qinq vlan-translation .
for L3 vpn we used the sub-interfaces on the PE side and down-link ( CE side ) we only use vlanif as point to point connection and then we allow pass for these 3 vlans .
