The Access Network Forum has a lot of knowledge about how to log in to the ONT WebUI and the ONT account and password. However, many friends still fail to log in to the ONT WebUI, alternatively, they cannot modify the content after logging in to the ONT WebUI because the default account and password are used to log in to the ONT.
Considering that many friends may have incorrect configurations, which may cause device or network faults, the administrator cannot directly share the ONT administrator account and password with us due to the restriction of the forum.

1. What are the account and password for logging in to the Huawei ONT?
Default account and password
a. EG series products
The default user name and password of a common user are Epuser and userEp.
b. HG series products
The default user name and password of a common user are as follows:
V300R016C10 and earlier versions: root/admin.
V300R017C00 and later versions: root/adminHW
c. DSL home gateway series products
User name: user
Password: HuaweiUser
If the login fails, try the following account and password (except for customized products):
a. telecomadmin/admintelecom
b. Epadmin/adminEp
c. admin/@HuaweiHgw
The default user name and password for logging in to Telnet are Eproot and adminEp.
2. How to change the ONT login password?
If the default password is used, log in to the WebUI and,Click the System Tools tab and then choose Modify Login Password from the navigation tree. In the right pane, change the password of the root user.
The administrator password of an ONT can be changed only by issuing a VAS from the U2000 or issuing a node through TR069.
