Huawei ONT IPTV configuration

Hi,


I have the following configurations to my ONT.


ONT model HG8546M


Vlan 100 Internet

Vlan 200 IPTV


Vlan 100 is configured as WAN mode: Router, Service Type: Internet

Vlan 200 is configured as WAN mode: Bridge, Serivce Type: IPTV, IGMP Snooping is enabled.

Binding options are not configured on any of WANs.

Vlan 200 has only multicast streams, it doesn't have DHCP server or internet access.


With this configuration STB or PC recieves IP from ONT DHCP server. It has access to internet and it also recieves multicast streams.


Everything works perfectly well, but the issue with this configuration is that I am able to recieve multicast stream on all LAN and Wireless interfaces.


It doesn't flood on all interfaces because IGMP is configured and works correctly, but if I try to open multicast stream on any of the LAN or WIFI interfaces I am able to play the streams.


I don't want this to be possible howerver.


What I want to do is to allow multicast streams to work on only one LAN port that I can configure.


For example: Lan 4 should be able to recieve IP from ONT DHCP server and also multicast stream.

LAN 1,2,3 and WIFI should be able to recieve IP from ONT DHCP server, but should not be able to recieve multicast stream.


Is it possible to make this configuration?

Hello, friend!


Based on the problem description, you can perform the following configurations on the ONT web interface to meet your requirements:


In the navigation tree on the left, choose WAN > WAN Configuration. In the pane on the right, click New. 


1. Bind LAN1, LAN2, and LAN3 to VLAN100.


VLAN100


2. Bind LAN4 to VLAN 200.


VLAN 200


Note :

This is based on the basis of what you described example. For wireless networks, you need based to bind the SSID to VLAN 100 or VLAN 200 based on your requirements.
