Hello

I have to OLTs, respectively one MA5680t and one MA5683T, both of them have two of H801GICF each, as uplink card.

There are a lot of webpages tha explain the same thing, how to add a xPON GPBH or GPBD card, and I can find no webpages how to replace the uplink card H801GICF with a X2CS card.

Both OLTs are in working condition with many suscribers connected.

How can I make the replacement ? Simply, replacing ? or some preparation from CLI before ? The replacement can do with OLT powered up or must shut it down ?

thanks in advance

Thank You very much for help!

There are now much less question-mark now.

I followed the online utility, what I understood is:

1)The physical replacement can be done with OLT in working condition

2)A tftp server is needed at subnet, which is provided easily. The  ip 10.10.10.12, which come out from the utility, is for example purpose, there is NOT a such ip present in my case.

3)a file named config.txt is needed in tftp folder, and this is the problem in my case, I haven't it.

Are above question correct ?
Where can find   the file config.txt ?
is there any possibility to loss my configuration ? if yes How can prevent it ?

hello

As, I understood, config.txt is the configuration file of the OLT, and it can obtained from opposite command:
'backup configuration tftp 10.10.10.12 config.txt'.
is this config.txt ?
in other words, replacing these cards causes configuration reset, isn't it ?

How is possible to have no clear documentation for a important step, considering systems are online with hundred of subscribers connected.

how can I change the status of this thread to unresolved ? because it is not resolved
