Hello, In this article, I would like to explain how the patch update of the Oceanstor dorado series v6 storage unit is done. First of all, for this job, we download the latest version of the Huawei Smartkit software from the link below.https://support.huawei.com/enterprise/en/software/252804179-ESW2000416222
Smartkit software also enables us to easily perform upgrades,
expands, server deployments, IP configuration, and part replacement.
We download our patch file, which we will use to upgrade later, from
the address below.
When we open the Smartkit software, a screen like the one below greets us.
From here, we click on "Hot patch Installation" in the "Upgrade/Patch Installation" section.
In the Select device section, we click on “Add devices” written in blue. Our default IP address is 192.168.192.101, Default user. We add our Oceanstor storage with Name-Password:Username: Admin Password: Admin@storage and save it with "Finish".
After the storage is added, we see information such as model, version and IP address. Here it appears as Device version 6.0.0.SPH7. We will update our version as SPH9. We continue with “Next”.
We choose "Manual" as the patch installation mode and go to the "Select patch" section with "Next".
Select previously downloaded SPH9 patch file with “Select Patch Package” and go to our patch installation screen with “Finish”.
Here, after looking at information such as our storage information and which version we will switch to, we start our patch upgrade process with the "Start" button above.
Patch upgrade process has been completed. Version has been upgraded to SPH9.
