Huawei OceanStor 5300 V3 Add new disk ?

Hello, friends. Since I could not find a suitable place for the subject on the portal, I opened it under this category, if it was wrong, I am already sorry. In our currently working Huawei OceanStore 5300 V3 data storage unit, the disks are all Hitachi brand HUH721010AL4200 model. 1 of the disks is in failure. We cannot provide exactly the same disk that failed. Connect with Huawei support Turkey in the channel page indicated that they stop their operations from their own side. We want to use 1 Seagate Exos X10 10TB 512e SAS Standard ST10000NM0096 drive in our data storage unit. Our concern is that; When creating the raid structure, we saw that when some other model disks were replaced instead of the disks included in the structure, the structure was damaged in some servers or the mounted disk was not detected at all. We do not know whether we will have such a problem in our data storage unit and we do not want to resort to an expensive trial and error method, since we cannot return the product. If we have friends who have experience on the subject, I would be happy to see their advice. Days without corona.

We haven't encountered any such case but it would be advisable to reach to out to your TAC support as they have extensive research and they have already use-cases where they have tested such scenarios

I don't think there should be a problem until disk type is same as you chose while creating the raid group i.e if it was sas initially then try replacing with sas again, what was the size of the disk which failed? can you provide more details of the disk which failed?
My suggestion is backup as much of your data as possible before performing the replacement just to be on the safe side. Once you have the data backed up, then you can perform the replacement and see how it goes.

I have compared the disks side by side, on-board cache size is same for both disks, same rpm and interfaces etc. it shouldn't be a problem Still if it's possible then take a backup first if you haven't taken one already, just in case.
