HiCoins as reward: 0 (problem unresolved)

Hello Everyone!

My Huawei e5573 mobile wifi has been working perfectly for the past 3 years. A night ago, I noticed the network indicator light turns red (do happens atimes if there is poor network connectivity and will return to green light automatically) but this time, longer than usual, the battery indicator was still showing green all this while because it was plugged to the power source. At this point, I decide to reset it, I press and hold on the reset button for up to 10secs, both lights went off and on again before releasing it. I noticed after releaseing the reset button, the lights went off and on again, the second time, and so on up to fourth time then started flashing green (both lights). I unplugged it from the power source, press and hold the power button to switch it off. I switch it on, within few seconds, both lights will start flashing and it's wifi network not in sight.

I have tried several things including removing battery, press and hold the power button for several minutes, press power button along side the reset button for several minutes still no avail. I connect it to the usual laptop(windows 10) I used to connect it through USB, but this time, it's home page (http://192.168.8.1/) will not open. I found 'HUAWEI_MOBILE' on device manager with exclamation mark as shown in the attachment, and I have searched for drivers to no avail. Meanwhile, even when switched off, once the device is connected to external power source, both lights will start flashing continuously and I noticed the battery is not being charge since it started flashing.

I know nothing last forever but I never expected it to go so soon, please any help is highly appreciable.

Hi friend.

The E5573 is a consumer product. This forum is aimed at enterprise network products.

To perform a factory reset, follow these steps.

  • Power on the Huawei router and insert the paper clip or pin into the hole labeled "Reset" on the back of the router.

  • Press and hold the paper clip or pin for 10 to 15 seconds and release it.

  • The router will reboot itself. Once the WLAN light stops blinking, the router resets.

  • Note that resetting the Huawei router will not reset the firmware to an earlier version. It will only change all settings back to factory defaults.

If the device still fails to be reset, the device hardware may be faulty. You are advised to contact your local ISP for troubleshooting.

I hope I can help you.

Hello,

Dear friend!

The default access IP address is 192.168.8.1

Username and password use "admin" both must be in lower case alphabets.

To restore the device to its factory settings, power on the device, find the hardware restore button on the device, and press and hold the button for about 5 seconds to restore the device to its factory settings. Then, use the default password to enter the home screen again. If the operation fails, please contact your device vendor to check whether the hardware is damaged.

Thanks

Hello, friend!

Based on the problem description and the information you provided, the initial abnormal state of the device was due to the device entering upgrade mode. However, the reset operation causes the device to fail to be upgraded and enters the abnormal state of repeated upgrades.

I am sorry, I can't operate the device in online mode. You need to take the device to a local Huawei outlet. You need to forcibly upgrade the device to restore its normal state.

Thanks!
