I created a new thread to get a more definite understanding of a critical issue, regarding the statement "CdTe Module is not supported". The response was given by @Tang_li in the thread that I created earlier (https://forum.huawei.com/enterprise/en/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=704557).

I don't understand your statement which says: "CdTe module is not supported". If this refers to the DC Optimizer SUN2000-450W-P, I understood that Huawei only has 1 type of optimizer for mono & poly modules. Since the thin-film output voltage is generally above 80 volts, the 450W-P optimizer cannot be used.

But if the statement "CdTe module is not supported" is meant for an inverter (3KTL-6KTL)-M1, frankly I don't understand. As a reference, I have included the datasheet for the CdTe module that I will use, the ASP-ST1-64 (with 20% transparency), a frameless module.

I have read some technical documents that the thin-film module, especially CdTe-based cells have a tendency towards TCO corrosion, which leads to a permanent loss of output. The solution is to negatively connect the PV modules to the ground with a galvanic isolation inverter. In fact, all types of Huawei inverters, including (3KTL-6KTL) -M1 are transformerless types. Moreover, this CdTe module is a frameless type.

Realizing this issue, I double-checked with Adv Solar Power (Hangzhou) sales rep, and he stated that their CdTe module is safe for any type of transformerless inverter. After all, this CdTe module is frameless.

If the CdTe string cannot be mixed with a mono/poly string, even though it is injected at a different MPPT inverter input, I can understand. Maybe the solution is to use 2 units of 3KTL-M1.

Please elaborate in detail, so that I have a clear conception.

Note: please see the .pdf attachment, the CdTe datasheet.
