Hi folks.

I hope somebody can help me about this...

I got this device from my ISP for internet and iptv over optical network. Default settings f is that ports LAN1 and LAN4 are reserved only for inthernet and LAN2 and LAN3 for IPTV.

How I can set up the device that all port be for IPTV and inthernet?

I have this situation... On the LAN 1 port is conected LAN cable. The second end of this cable is connected to switch. With switch is connected one  computer and one set-top-box for IPTV.

This worked without any error on Huawei H168N modem over ADSL tehnology. Today I got new device Huawei HG824q2 over optical infrastructure (my ISP update the line with new tehnology - optical network)

Hello friend!


Log in into the HG8245Q2 WebUI.


In the navigation tree on the left, choose WAN > WAN Configuration. In the pane on the right, click New.


HG8245Q2


After configuring the necessary parameters:


  • set Service Type to VOIP_IPTV_INTERNET;


  • Binding Options: LAN1, LAN2, LAN3, LAN4.


The network to which you belong is an ISP network. Therefore, you are advised to contact the ISP for a solution.

I aleady tried this without resaluts. After I mark all LAN ports for internet it disable LAN ports for IPTV

This is how looks on Huawe H168n.

I checked all ports under HSI, HSI AD, Voice, IPTV...
Work fine! I can connect IPTV STB device or computer into same lan port for Internet/IPTV.

How to achive this on HG824q2?

Hi @Chenxintao  


With your notes, I was able to fix the problem.


I always tried to edit the current  WAN network which had the default service type. After I deleted all servicea and created a new, I was able to choose value from the list like IPTV_INTERENET, VOIP_IPTV_INTERNET...
