Today's topic will be addressing Huawei CloudIVS, this extremely smart video surveillance system which combines traditional video surveillance techniques and the novel Cloud technology in order to yield a highly interesting service. BACKGROUND INFORMATION
We're currently living in the era of large, fast-moving data. Which translates into the fact that standalone applications can no longer withstand the ever-increasing needs of an organizations for application collaboration and data sharing.
That is where Huawei CloudIVS comes into the stage. By decoupling the algorithms from the applications, as well as the software from the hardware, Huawei CloudIVS manages not only to facilitate the collaboration with and between
third-party applications, but also to offer its user large-capacity and high-concurrency video access, storage, forwarding, analysis and search capabilities for comprehensive surveillance across industries.
As you may have already guessed, the main focus of Huawei CloudIVS is on collaboration. How does it achieve that? Of course, via state of the art industry applications from partners, to the end of creating an open ecosystem. More on this in the following section.
THE ARCHITECTURE OF CloudIVS
The architecture of Huawei CloudIVS is indeed one of the most interesting things. The keyword here is 'distributed', as the combination of 'powerful center + agile edge' enable the distributed, full-stack architecture of CloudIVS. open-ended platform - CloudIVS comprises an AI-based 'algorithm supermarket', which allows for the independent upgrade, replacement and combination of person- and vehicle-related algorithms from multiple vendors;
all-Cloud sharing - CloudIVS concentrates on the video surveillance lifecycle management, integrating video, checkpoint images and structured data resources;
distributed matrix intelligence - CloudIVS builds a complete platform covering the center and edges through the Atlas G series heterogeneous servers.
