1. what are the differences and relationships between backup and DR?

Answer:  As it literally means,

Backup is to back up production service data to another storage device, which is equivalent to saving one service data to two different storage systems. Many methods can be used to implement data backup, for example, RAID 1 or periodic data copy.

DR also backs up data, but its main purpose is to ensure service continuity. When a device in the production environment is faulty, the DR takes over services immediately to ensure normal service running.

2. Which of the Huawei DR solution do you recommend to the customer to meet the preceding requirements? Why do you recommend this solution? 

Answer: Geo-Redundant is a common solution. However, there are many factors that need to be considered for each solution, such as budget, surrounding environment, OS selection, and service conditions. Therefore, you are advised to contact Huawei's pre-sales engineers.

3. What networking schemes can be used for the selected DR solution and what are the differences between these networking schemes? 

Answer:  The common networking schemes include: HyperMetro + HyperReplication and HyperMetro + HyperVault.

The biggest difference between the two data centers is whether to continue taking over services when the two data centers fail at the same time. For the first one, services are taken over again. For the second one, only service data is saved but not taken over.
