Hello, Community members.
We all know the DHCP function. This function enables the hosts to directly obtain the IP address and access the Internet, greatly reducing the manual configuration workload.
Today, I will show you how to configure the DHCP server on the Huawei B593s LTE Router.
When DHCP is used, a single client can automatically obtain the TCP/IP configuration when the server is powered on.
You can configure the CPE as a DHCP server or disable the CPE when it works in routing mode.
When the CPE is configured as the DHCP server, the CPE automatically provides the TCP/IP configuration.
If the DHCP server service is disabled, you must have another DHCP server on your LAN, or you must manually configure each client.
The process of configuration DHCP on B593 LTE CPE
1. Log in to the WebUI of Huawei B593s LTE CPE.
2. Choose LAN > DHCP Settings.
3. Set the DHCP Server to Enable.
4. Set Start IP address.
This IP address must be different from the IP address set on the LAN Host Settings area, but they must be on the same network segment.
5. Set End IP address.
This IP address must be different from the IP address set on the LAN Host Settings area, but they must be on the same network segment.
6. Set Lease Time.
Lease time can be set to 1 to 10,080 minutes. It is recommended to retain the default value.
7. Click Submit.
After the configuration is complete, you can use a terminal, such as a mobile phone, to access the network and check whether the mobile phone can automatically obtain an IP address.

That's all for today. I hope it will be helpful to all of you!
