Huawei AP Configuration Under Ac - 6005-8

Hi,


I'm looking for help to configure the Access Point Huawei AP5030DN-S. We have an AC 6005-8 here to manage all our warehouse AP's and office AP's. I want to put this new AP under Office AP group. When i tried to access the AP, it is showing AP is in fit mode (managed by AC). I need help to add this new AP under our AC in office AP group.

Hi Ansal,
Based on your description, I think, that your DHCP service is enabled on the interface vlanif 200. You might try add the switch interface which the new AP connects to the vlan 200, so that the AP could get the IP address correctly.
Then configure the AP online again.
Please let us know if that helps.

Hi, 

From your description, I think you have some APs works fine and you are just trying to add a new AP into the existing office AP group. If I'm right, just refer to the example below:

[AC6605] wlan
[AC6605-wlan-view] ap-id 11 type-id 19 ap-mac 0025-9e07-8270
[AC6605-wlan-ap-0] ap-group office

Thanks for the help!

We have multiple VLAN network configured in Huawei Switch. AC and AP's are connected under VLAN 200, So, i need to bring this new AP under VLAN 200, to configure it ?

Also i can see a couple of VLAN in AC like, 24,32,40,46,200,202. Can you explain why these VLAN's
created in AC.? I can see some VLAN in common with our network.

Hi Bro,

CLI of the AC is showing disabled, So, i tried to add the AP through web interface, Configuration -
AP Going Online - Manually add -- filled all the details of new AP. Clicked "authenticate" shows execution succeeded. But the status of the AP showing idle. Is this happening beacause of VLAN ?

Hi Ansal,
Based on your description, I think, that your DHCP service is enabled on the interface vlanif 200. You might try add the switch interface which the new AP connects to the vlan 200, so that the AP could get the IP address correctly.
Then configure the AP online again.

Answear: you have mulotiple vlans in WLAN because is necesary, one for service, one for manage, one for access.

Thanks bro! It worked :)

I added the switch port to the same vlan and AP is working. Now the status is showing vermismatch (I figured the versions are different)

V200R007C20SPC500 : New AP version
V200R008C10SPCe00 : Existing AP version (old)

Also the powesupply status is not showing (--) . Can you help in these?

Hi,
Please check the version of the AC, I think, the AC version is not matched with the V200R007C20.
Please upload the AC version, I'll help to check that.
Actually, the easiest way is upgrade the new AP to the version V200R008C10.
