Huawei 3-Phase Inverters and LUNA

Hi there!


According to the Huawei LUNA 2000 specifications found in this LINK only the 3-Phase inverters up to 10kW are listed.


Question 1


I'm looking at getting the SUN2000-15kTL-M0 inverter. Is this model compatible with the Huawei LUNA 2000?


Question 2


I also read some previous threads that the M0 model inverters require a firmware update to work with LUNA. Has this been released yet or is there a date available for release?

Hello, dear.

For SUN2000-3/4/5/6/8/10KTL-M0, the support for LUNA2000 Smart String ESS is limited. 

Distributors and customers can identify whether a M0 series inverter is compatible with LUNA2000 Smart      String ESS based on the serial number (SN) of SUN2000-3/4/5/6/8/10KTL-M0. SN between HV191XXXXXX ~ HV199XXXXXX are not compatible with LUNA2000 Smart String ESS, which refers to the M0 series inverters produced from January to September 2019. 

I don't know if the same applies to SUN2000-15KTL-M0. But you can wait for the adaptation update coming at the end of this month.

and what about SUN2000-10KTL-M0 with SN HV19BXXXXX ?

If it is not in the stated range, it can support LUNA batteries.

Hi,

My SUN2000-3KTL is currently on version V100R001C00SPC335, which according to the website, is the latest software version. It does not have a SN between HV191-HV199 so should be compatible with the LUNA 2000.

However, i can only add an LG battery in the installer mode. When is the firmware update coming? In your message i see "end of this month" which would have been April 2021? Is there an update?

This model does not have a hardware interface for the energy storage LUNA.
