I have trouble with Huawei 1288H V5.

After I power off and on, server could not boot.

The power button flashes yellow and the server does not start.

I connected console port and I found U-Boot is resetting repeatedly.

I could get below message from console.

Hi, dear!

You can try the method as follows:

Please try to reset the iBMC as follows:

  1. Power off the server.

  2. Open the server casing., and find the BMC_RCV on the motherboard.

  3. short-circuit the two pins on BMC_RCV.

  4. Unplug the short-circuit the two pins BMC_RCV.

  5. install the server casing, and then try to power on the server

We could get HUAWEI onsite support.
Finally, we could solve this problem after replacing the motherboard.

Thank you.

Can you log in to the iBMC? I suggest you upgrade the ibmc, the firmware is fault.
It seems that your IBMC firmware is faulty.
The power light blinks yellow means the system is loading the ibmc firmware.
Have you upgraded ibmc firmware before? just please wait for 5 minutes, please then check if it will be ok?

I didn't upgraded iBMC firmware.
First, the iBMC LAN port interface was repeatedly UP and Down.
So, I shutdown the server and unplug/plug power supply cable,
and the power button power button keep blinking yellow.

I can login after hitting 'ctrl + b' and enter password 'Admin@9000'.
But I don't know this is iBMC login or not.
After login, console show below, and I can use U-boot commands.

No, it is not.

After you log in to the CLI through the console port, you get the error message as follows?

-----------------------------

U-Boot 2.1.07 (Dec 21 2017 - 18:01:59)

CPU  : HI1710

Board: HI1710 sub-system board.

DRAM:   512 MiB

ubootorder = 0

Hit 'ctrl + b' to stop autoboot: 0

Then you press "crtl+b"? input the password and you can log input the command? is that right?

Normally, you will log in to the iBMC through the serial port, it does not need to press Ctrl+B to access the U-Boot commissioning page.

You can try to input the reset command to reset the iBMC, then Wait until the operation is complete as prompted, and then run the reboot command to restart the system, then check if the error message is still present?

it seems that the firmware file is corrupted, Based on experience, the mainboard needs to be replaced.

I suggest that you contact the HUAWEI TAC support:

Maybe your problem needs to be handled remotely or by an engineer on site.
