HSNS3 is a new type of board introduced in V200R015C20 of OSN3500 and OSN7500. This board is categoryed as Smart Line Boards, which means the load type is adjustable.
HSNS3 board is based on OTN Technology, transmits and receives OTN frames on fiber. This board can process 4 channel of STM-16 or STM-64 sevice from the back plane of OSN device, and pack it into one channel of OTU3 frames, at a 40Gb/s data rate. Mapping path are:
· STM-16<->ODU1<->ODU3<->OTU3
· STM-64<->ODU2<->ODU3<->OTU3
As this board is a uniqe board type which transmits and receives OTN frames on the line, you must use the same type of board on both end of the line to make it work. If you pair it with SDH boards like SL64 on the other end of the line, it won't work as they are processing different kinds of data from the line.
