Hello,
When the HRP status of the two FWs is normal, the VGMP groups have the same priority. After the hrp switch standby command is run on a device, the VGMP group priority of the device is decreased by 1. If this command is run on the active device, the VGMP group priority of the active device will be lower than that of the standby device, triggering an active/standby switchover. After the hrp switch active command is run on a device, the VGMP group priority of the device is incremented by 1. If this command is run on the standby device, the VGMP group priority of the standby device will be higher than that of the active device, triggering an active/standby switchover.
If the priorities of the active and standby nodes are different, the active and standby nodes may fail to be switched over. So after running the hrp switch active or hrp switch standby command to manually switch the device status, you are advised to run the undo hrp switch command as soon as possible to restore the device status.
