Hey there!

In the case of S series switches (except the S1700), you can configure the Telnet user name and password using the web system as follows:

-EasyOperation
 
Versions earlier than V200R009:

1. Click Maintenance. The Maintenance page is displayed.

2. Choose User Management from the navigation tree. The User Management page is displayed.

3. Click Create. The Create User dialog box is displayed.

4. Configure the user information and set the access type to Telnet.

5. Click OK

V200R009 and later versions:

1. Choose Maintenance > System Maintenance > Administrator and click the Administrator tab.

2. Click Create. The Create User dialog box is displayed.

3. Configure the user information and set the access type to Telnet.

4. Click OK.

- Classic

1. Choose Security > AAA > User Management from the navigation tree. The User Management page is displayed.
 
2. Click Create. The Create User dialog box is displayed.

3. Configure the user information and set the access type to Telnet.
 
4. Click OK.

5. Click Save in the navigation tree.
