Hello, dear!
Good day to you!
In this post, I will show you the IVS3800 feature: voice intercom.
Voice intercom
The administrator can monitor the real-time video and enable the real-time voice function when the administrator needs to talk to the monitored person.
For example: In the elevator, there is an alarm button, and when you press the alarm button, you can talk to the administrator.

Requirement:
A camera with a built-in microphone or audio ports is available.
To use the voice feature, users need to configure a pickup device and a speaker for the corresponding camera.
Cameras are connected to the IVS platform through the GB/T 28181 protocol. To use the voice intercom service, you need to set the audio output ID (the eleventh to thirteenth digits must be 137) in the camera web system.
Cameras in the local domain support G.711 μ-law and A-law. GB/T 28181-compliant external domain cameras support only G.711 A-law.
Voice intercom and voice broadcast cannot be performed at the same time on the same client.
IVS3800 voice intercom feature description
Supports bidirectional voice intercom between frontend devices and clients.
Supports the G.711 audio coding format.
Allows users to control the volume of the voice intercom.
The voice intercom function can be used when cameras (including Huawei cameras and third-party cameras) are connected to the IVS platform through GB/T 28181 and NAT is configured between the cameras and the IVS platform. However, the protocol for audio stream transmission must be set to TCP.
You can set the transmission protocol to TCP only when the GB/T 28181 protocol is used to connect Huawei cameras of SDC 8.2.0 and later versions to the platform.
How to use voice intercom
1. Connected the speaker and microphone.
You have connected the microphone to the AUDIO_IN port on the camera, and the speaker to the AUDIO_OUT port on the camera. The ports vary depending on the camera model.
You have connected the microphone to the LINE IN port on the rear panel of the device, and the speaker to the LINE OUT port on the rear panel of the device.
2. Set audio parameter.

If the T28181 is used to connect to the platform, the Audio output ID should be set as the requirement.(The eleventh to thirteenth digits must be 137) (Settings > Network > Platform Connection > Second Protocol Parameters > T28181)
