Hello friend!
Upgrading a NodeB to an eNodeB means upgrading a 3G network to a 4G network.
First, you need to make sure that your device supports LTE. Whether the RF unit and universal main control and transmission unit of the base station support LTE. If the device does not support the upgrade, you need to replace the device. Otherwise, the upgrade cannot be performed.
After the device is ready, you need to prepare the version and data required for the upgrade.
Start the operation after all preparations are complete:
1. Remotely delete the old configuration data on the U2000. Be sure to back up before deleting it to prevent accidents.
2. Import the prepared new configuration data to the base station through the U2000.
3. After the data is imported successfully, wait for a period of time. If no alarm is generated on the device and services are running properly, The upgrade is successful.
During the upgrade from a 3G base station to a 4G base station, services will be interrupted and the operation is complex. Therefore, you are advised not to perform this operation lightly. Please seek support from your local representative office.
