How to Troubleshoot "ONT is Mis-Isolated by OLT" Scenario?
Abnormal Action
1.Light is always on
2.Out of sequence
Harm
1.Other ONTs are offline
2.Other ONTs are online and offline repeatedly
Cause analysis
1. ONT Is Set To Continuous Mode
2. ONT Is Mis-Considered As A Rogue ONT
How to check
Focus on indicator Status, just list one situation:
How
to recover
1. Connect the ONT to a Huawei OLT.
2. Add the ONT to the OLT in offline mode.
GPON:
HuaWei(config-if-gpon-0/6)ont add ponid portid sn-auth XXXXXX
EPON:
HuaWei(config-if-epon-0/2)ont add ponid portid mac-auth XXXXXX
3. Isolate the ONT on the OLT in diagnose mode, and then cancel the ONT isolation.
HuaWei(diagnose)%%anti-rogueont isolate frameid/slotid/portid onuid
HuaWei(diagnose)%%undo anti-rogueont isolate frameid/slotid/portid onuid
4. Query the ONT information.
HuaWei(config-if-gpon-0/6)#display ont info ponid portid
5. Check the operating status of the ONT. If the ONT is online and other ONTs connected to the same PON port are not affected, the ONT is restored successfully.
6. If the ONT is offline and other ONTs connected to the same PON port go offline abnormally, the ONT fails to be restored. Contact Huawei for technical support.
