Prerequisites
Lights are not faulty.
Symptom
The light fails to work properly when the switch is turned on manually or by an infrared
sensor.
Possible Causes
The infrared sensor is faulty.
The lighting controller is faulty.
Procedure
Step 1 Check whether the power supply to the lighting controller is normal. Turn on the power
switch and observe the RUN indicator status.
If the RUN indicator is on, the power supply is normal. Go to Step 2.
If the RUN indicator is off or blinks abnormally, check the power supply and power
cable connection. Ensure that the power supply is normal and check whether the fault is
rectified.
− If the fault is rectified, no further action is required.
− If the fault persists, go to Step 2.
Step 2 Turn on the power switch for the lighting controller and use a multimeter to measure the
voltage at the INFRA POWER port. Check whether the voltage is 12 V DC.
If the voltage is 12 V DC, the output is normal. Go to Step 3.
If the voltage is not 12 V DC, the lighting controller is faulty. Replace the lighting
controller, ensure that the voltage at the INFRA POWER port is 12 V, and check
whether the fault is rectified.
− If the fault is rectified, no further action is required.
− If the fault is not rectified, go to Step 3.
Step 3 Check whether the infrared sensor is faulty. Turn off the power switch and connect the power
cable to the infrared sensor. Turn on the power switch and connect a meter such as a
multimeter to the infrared sensor to check the control signal status.
If the signal status is normally closed (NC), the infrared sensor is proper. Go to Step 4.
If the signal status is not NC, the infrared sensor is faulty. Replace the infrared sensor,
ensure that the infrared output is normal, and check whether the fault is rectified.
− If the fault is rectified, no further action is required.
− If the fault is not rectified, go to Step 4.
Step 4 Check whether the power supply to the aisle lights is 220 V AC. Turn off the power switch
and connect the power cable to the infrared sensor. Turn on the power switch, use a
multimeter to measure the voltage at the LAMP OUTPUT port, and check whether the
voltage is 220 V AC.
If the voltage is 220 V AC, the output is normal and the lighting controller is proper. If
the fault persists, contact Huawei technical support.
If the voltage is not 220 V AC, the lighting controller is faulty. Replace the lighting
controller and check whether the fault is rectified.
− If the fault is rectified, no further action is required.
− If the fault persists, contact Huawei technical support.
