Hello, everyone!
In this post, I would like to share with you how to synchronize the NE time with the standard NTP server time.
You can use the standard network time protocol (NTP) service to automatically synchronize the NE time with the standard NTP server time.
Prerequisites
You must be an NM user with "NE operator" authority or higher.
The key and password of an NE must be set by using the standard NTP key management function.
The NE must support the standard NTP synchronization mode.
Tools, Equipment and Materials
U2000
After you change the value of Synchronous Mode from NULL to StandardNTP, when the modification is delivered to the NE, the time synchronization may be successful though the encryption key is incorrect.
Procedure
1. In the Main Topology view, choose Configuration > NE BatchConfiguration > NE Time Synchronization from the main menu.
2. In theObject Tree, select an NE and click the double-right-arrow button (red).
3. Set the SynchronousMode to Standard NTP.
4. Set the StandardNTP Authentication to Enabled.
5. Click Apply.
6. In the displayed Result dialog box, click Close.
7. In the pane at the bottom of the window, right-click, and then choose New from the shortcut menu to create a standard NTP server.
If the StandardNTP Server Identifier is set to NE ID, enter the NE ID of the standard NTP server and Standard NTP Server Key.
If the StandardNTP Server Identifier is set to IP, enter the IP address of the standard NTP server and the Standard NTP Server Key.
8. Click Apply to synchronize the NE time.
9. In the Resultdialog box displayed, click Close.
10. ClickQuery. Make sure that the parameter values of the NTP server are the same as the ones set previously.
That's all, I hope you like it.
Thank you!
