This post talks about the procedure of how to solve the NE40E/NE9000/NE5000E/CX200/CE6800/CE12800 start timeout on eNSP. Please see more details further down.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
After the new version of eNSP was released, it started supporting the simulation of NE40E/NE9000/NE5000E/CX200/CE6800/CE12800.
ISSUE DESCRIPTION
However, quite a few people encountered the failure to start the NE40E/NE9000/NE5000E/CX200/CE6800/CE12800. eNSP warns 'Starting device NE1 timeout. Please restart it after checking the connection with the server!', just as the image below shows:

PROCEDURE
Here we are listing an example to solve this error. Please follow the steps below thoroughly.
1. Remove the NE virtual machine from VirtualBox; choose Delete all files:

If the the error occurs, click OK to ignore the error:

2. Remove the NE40E images from the eNSP installation path:

3. Restart eNSP, add the NE40E in the topology and start it; eNSP will request to re-insert the image - import the NE40E image and start NE40E. NE40E could start correctly.
