BACKGROUND INFORMATION

After the new version of eNSP was released, it started supporting the simulation of NE40E/NE9000/NE5000E/CX200/CE6800/CE12800.

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

However, quite a few people encountered the failure to start the NE40E/NE9000/NE5000E/CX200/CE6800/CE12800. eNSP warns  'Starting device NE1 timeout. Please restart it after checking the connection with the server!', just as the image below shows:

PROCEDURE

Here we are listing an example to solve this error. Please follow the steps below thoroughly.

1. Remove the NE virtual machine from VirtualBox; choose Delete all files:

remove_affirm

If the the error occurs, click OK to ignore the error:

ignore_error

2. Remove the NE40E images from the eNSP installation path:

3. Restart eNSP, add the NE40E in the topology and start it; eNSP will request to re-insert the image - import the NE40E image and start NE40E. NE40E could start correctly.

Hi,
If you don't install the eNSP, you can download the eNSP in my new post https://forum.huawei.com/enterprise/en/download-the-ensp/thread/665569-865

Hello deas,
I´m having a similar problem, but this is happening after the device is already started, it shows the "###########" .
I'm running 3 devices of the same type, but only one gives me that error. I already stop/start the device but it gives me the same error. so I have to create a new device of the same type, then start it and configure all again... taking me a lot of time to reconfigure every time I face this error.

eNSP version: V1R3C00SPC100.
Device type: NE9000.

Any additional information, please let me know.
thanks!
