Hello friend!
Private DNS is a unique feature in Android P. But what exactly is DNS? What does it have to do with my daily usage? Today, let’s find out together!
Part 1:What is the Private DNS? How to open it?
Private DNS sends data through an encrypted channel to ensure network security. Open the settings on your mobile phone > Wireless & Network, and you can see the "Private DNS".
Part2:What are the advantages of Private DNS?
Private DNS is a new feature added by Google in Android P version. Compared with the easily-hijacked and attacked traditional DNS message query and response, which adopts the clear text method of UDP and does not authenticate/encrypt the server, the Private DNS adopts the standard protocol RFC 7858 (DNS over TLS), which realizes the encryption of DNS Server authentication and DNS query action through the TLS security Protocol, thus solves the security problem such as the d*** of users’ online behavior and DNS active attack, and protects users’ privacy to the greatest extent.
Part3:What are the differences between the three modes of the Private DNS?
In the Private DNS setup interface, you can see three modes: Close, Auto and Configure Private DNS.
