How to setting HG8245A modem for sharing printer.

hi every one


i just want to ask about sharing printer through modem HG8245A. anyone can help me how to setup ?

Hi friend!


There are three ways to share a printer. Select one of the following methods based on the actual situation of your device


Method 1: Sharing the printer by Ethernet port

Prerequisites: The ONT supports and is enabled with the routing function. Prints Ethernet data transmission.


Method 2: Sharing the printer by Wi-Fi Network

Prerequisites: The ONT supports the Wi-Fi function and is enabled. The printer supports Wi-Fi.


Method 3: Sharing the printer by the USB Port of the ONT

Prerequisites: The ONT supports USB print sharing. USB port communication is supported.

if it does not support USB print server, is there anyway connecting printer to this modem ? or nothing at all

The following figure shows the USB function of the HG8245A. 

You can connect the HG8245A to the printer, but you need to follow the link provided in my recommended answer to configure the HG8245A on the Home Sharing screen.
