How to set the performance monitoring time of NE

By setting the performance monitoring parameters of an NE properly and starting the performance monitoring for the NE, you can obtain a detailed performance record during the running of the NE. This facilitates the monitoring and analysis of the NE running status performed by the maintenance personnel.

The steps are as follows:

1. Configure the performance monitoring time for multiple NEs at a time:

a) Choose Performance > Set NE Performance Monitoring Time from the main menu (traditional style); alternatively, double-click Fix-Network Performance in Application Center and choose Performance Monitoring > Set NE Performance Monitoring Time from the main menu (application style).

b) Select NEs from the NE list.

c) Click Query to query the data from the NE.

d) Select one or more NEs, and set the parameters of the 15-minute and 24-hour performance monitor time according to the requirement.

e) Click Apply and then click Close in the dialog box that is displayed.

2. Configure the performance monitoring time for a single NE:

a) In the NE Explorer, select an NE and choose Performance > NE Performance Monitor Time from the Function Tree.

b) Click Query to query the data from the NE.

c) Set the parameters of the 15-minute and 24-hour performance monitor time according to the requirement.

d) Click Apply and then click Close in the dialog box that is displayed.

You should be aware that:

1. The start time must be later than the current time of the network management system and the end time must be later than the start time.

2. If the end time is not set, this indicates that the performance monitoring starts from the start time and does not stop.
