How to send the CLI command to the non-gateway NE (OSN8800) without using OptiX Navigator software

Hi all,

I had configured the OSN8800 to accept the SSH login and then using Putty software to run CLI command on the gateway NE. (Security > NE Communication Services > STelnet -> Enable)

But I can not connect to the non-gateway NE because I can not reach the NE via IP address.

Is there any specific commands when I have already login to GNE or another method to run CLI command on non-gateway NE without using Navigator software?

P/S: By using OptiX Navigator, everything work fine.

Dear friend!

Currently, only the DC908 and some OSN 9800s support login using PuTTY. Because they're VRB platforms. Other devices (such as the OSN8800) are not on the VRB platform. Therefore, you can only log in to and manage the devices using the Navigator.

Dear Liquiang185, In fact that I have already run the CLI command on gateway NE by using PuTTY SSH to the NE. But it only works on the Gateway NEs. So I think maybe there are another way to connect the Non-gateway NE. Regards,

After configured the routing config on PC client so that I can directly ping the all the non-GNE's IP. I can run CLI command on non-GNEs by using PuTTY now.

You mean as long as the routing is configured on the PC. You can use PuTTY to connect to the gateway NE. Is the non-gateway NE managed through the forwarding of the gateway NE?

I mean, after configured the PC, I can directly connect to the GNE and non-GNE via IP. I use the OSPF IP for Non-GNE. (in the menu Configuration > WDM/OTN ASON > ASON Topology Management > OSPF IP Address Management)
Then I use PuTTY connect to NE via SSH protocol. It works on both GNE and non-GNE.
P/S: On the NE, we must set Security > NE Communication Services and set Enable for service STelnet
