Hi,

I wonder if it's possible or a recommended way to schedule full charging of the batteries from grid at night and then utilize this electricity during the day.

During parts of the winter the solar panels are of limited or no use and I would save a lot of money by charging the batteries at night when the price is low and then use the stored electricity during the day when the price is high.

The only way I've found to do this is manually from the SUN2000 app's "Power Adjustment/Battery Control panel", but I hope there's a better way of doing this automatically.

I've got a SUN2000-10KTL-M1 inverter with Luna 2000 batteries.

Hello, friend.

You can set the time-of-use price. Log in to the SUN2000, on the home screen, choose Power adjustment > Battery control, and set the battery parameters and working mode.

In some countries, the power grid is not allowed to charge energy storage, and this mode is prohibited. You can manually set the charging/discharging time segment. For example, if the charging time segment is set as the charging time segment at night, the system charges the energy storage with the maximum charging power during this time segment. In this case, you need to enable the grid charging function in Energy Storage Control and set the charging time segment as the discharging time segment during the high-price period. The battery can be discharged only in the discharge period, thus saving the household electricity cost.

For details, see section "Setting the Grid-tied ESS Mode" in the LUNA2000-(5-30)-S0 User Manual.

Hello,

You can login to the Fusionsolar APP to connect to the inverter using the proximity tuning function. In the main screen, select "power adjustment" > "Battery control".

Then you can set the charging and discharging time of the LUNA2000 battery by selecting the time-of-use tariff mode.

Fusionsolar

For more detailed parameters you can check the user manual.

Forced Charge and Discharge

Choose Maintenance > Battery maintenance > Forced charge and discharge, set forced charged and discharged parameters, and tap Submit.

you also can set the Time-of-Use:

Thank you, I would never have guessed that "TOU" was an abbreviation for "Time Of Use".

The scheduling functionality seem to be pretty straightforward.
