Hi JaredKelupa,
For how to save the configuration, you can use the save command in the user view.
For how to save the configuration file, you can refer to https://support.huawei.com/hedex/hdx.do?docid=EDOC1100126530&id=EN-US_TASK_0177100196&lang=en.
I hope it helps!

Hi, i read through but for my system due to it hardening, FTP, TFTP, FTPS, SFTP, or SCP are all disable. only able to putty in via ssh and i guess the only way to backup is to Copy the content displayed on the screen.
copy all command outputs to a .txt file. ?

On the CLI, run the display current-configuration command and copy all the displayed information to a TXT file to back up the configuration file to the hard disk of the maintenance terminal.

Hi,

you can go to user view and type save command.

<Huawei SW>save

Click Yes to save the configuration.

For taking backup you can type the "display current configuration" command and copy all the configuration commands to notepad and save it as a text file.

or set up a TFTP or FTP server and take the backup of the switch. use the following link.

https://support.huawei.com/enterprise/en/doc/EDOC1000141931/53c5f8b6/example-for-backing-up-the-configuration-file

Dear @JaredKelupa
Please use SecureCRT and enable save logging before displaying configuration.

It will make a file and saving all your commands, so you need to write Dispaly Current-configuration  to view configuration
