Thank you so much, Stephen. I have a few queries: 1. What's point of step-1 i.e. Use PuTTY to log in to the server. Where we need to open PuTTY - On remote jump server or by connecting a laptop to the physical server using serial port cable? And do we need to connect to the server management IP or iBMC IP? 2. Will restarting the iBMC impact the server or its operations? 3. Since u-boot method restores the default configurations of the iBMC, so will it reset all its network config. also?

Hi, 1. Yes, you use the putty to log into the server by connecting a laptop to the physical server using a serial port cable. 2. There is some impact on the server because the server will restart. 3. Yes, the network also will be reset. |
