How to replace the faulty inverter with new one in smart logger

How to replace a faulty inverter with a new inverter in the smart recorder? You can follow the steps below.

1. Replace the new inverter as per the Huawei regulation. 


2. Switch ON the inverter by switching on AC first then both the DC switch and collect the inverter Serial number. 


3. Connect the Inverter with SUN2000 app through USB cable or Bluetooth device, you need to change the communication address of the inverter as shown. 


4. When inverter is connected for the first time with SUN2000 app, it would be done through quick setting as shown.  Login Sun2000app using “Advance User” and password “00000a”  After login quick setting will pop up, change Grid code>Date>Time>Com address as per the actual.

5. You can also change the Com address as shown. 

  •   Login in (Advance User)>Setting>Comm. Param.>RS485>Com Address

6. Please confirm the PLC software version in smart logger, if Software version is “SUN2000V100R001C72SPC102” then you need to update the Inverter’s STA with pen drive using the same software. For other versions, it is not required. 

7. Login the Smart logger with “Advance user” in Web UI (Enspire) 

8. Collect the E-Total of the faulty Inverter. 

  • Monitoring>Select Inverter (which need to be replaced)>note down the “E-Total”

9. Remove the Faulty inverter from the “PLC” and from the “Connect Device” list. 

  • Monitoring>PLC>Network setting>SN List>Select the Inverter>Delete>Confirm>Submit

  • Maintenance>Connect device>select Inverter to remove>Remove Device>Confirm>Confirm

10. Add the new Inverter Serial number to the desire PLC SN list. 

  1. Monitoring>PLC>Network setting>SN List>Add>Enter Inverter’s Serial

  2. number>Confirm>Confirm>Submit

11. Add inverter manually to the smart logger. 

 Maintenance>Connect Device>Add Device 

  1. Device type= SUN2000 

  2. Port Number= For first PLC it is “0” and for second PLC it is “2”

  3. Address= Com. Address of the replaced inverter (Refer to 4 & 5 point)

  4. Add Device>Successful confirm

12. Edit the device name in the Device List. 

Maintenance> Device List>select the inverter to modify> Enter the device name as per the mapping>Modify Device Info>Confirm

13.  Check the replaced inverter in the Monitoring.

14. Also “Adjust total energy yield” of the new Inverter. 

Maintenance>Adjust total energy yield>Select the new inverter>enter the new value>Submit>Confirm. 

New Value is= E-Total of the Faulty inverter(Refer to point 8) + E-Total of the New Inverter inverter  

Refresh the page to see changed value.
