This post will tell you one issue for How to replace EXCSA by UXCSA in OSN3500 system.
Problem description:
Customer plan to replace the EXCSA board by UXCSA in OSN3500 system to meet the service demand. They want to clarify if the service will be affected during this operation, and If they need to configure the cross connection again?
Handling procedure:
Customer plan to replace the EXCSA board by UXCSA in OSN3500 system to meet the service demand.
Root cause:
NA.
Solution:
1. Firstly check the state of EXCS, and confirm if the services on work and standby EXCS are same.
2. Delete the standby EXCS by T2000, then pull out it.
3. Create UXCSA logical board at standby slot by T2000 and plug in the board.
4. It will take about 5 minutes to make the copy between work and standby boards automatically. After 5 minutes, please check the state of UXCS, and confirm if the services on work EXCS and standby UXCS are same again.
5. Confirmed the state of UXCS is normal, you can switch the XCS using command as "cfg-set-dpsswitch"
6. After confirmed the switch is successes, you can do the same process to the left EXCS as step 2-4.
