Dear Team,

We are not able to register Cisco 7945G IP Phones with Huawei IPPBX.. Can anyone share us the procedure to follow or any test report for the same. I need an urgent support on registering Cisco IP phone 7945G with Huawei eSpace U1911.

Scenario as follows:

Couldn't register Cisco 7945G IP Phone to Huawei eSpace U1911 IP PBX.

I had converted cisco phone from sccp to sIP firmware, uploaded SEP<MAC>.cnf.xml file on cisco phone as per the online search results.

Issue found: XML file information (SIP Line configuration) is getting deleted automatically from phone after the phone restart during its first booting.

My data Plan:

U1911            :  192.168.1.17

eSpace7910   : 192.168.1.80

Cisco 7945G : 192.168.1.20

Hp PoE Switch

SIP Extension configured in Huawei U1911

Cisco 7945 : USERNAME : 500, PASSWORD : 123456

eSpace 7910 : USERNAME : 501, PASSWORD : No PASSWORD (Registered)

1. first you have config softargu 286 value to 0
2. collect the SIP trace with LMT tool when the cisco IP phone start to register to u1911, check whether U1911 receive the register message, if u1911 did not receive, you need to check cisco IP phone and the network device between u1911 and cisco IP phone.
3. if U1911 received the register message, you can show it to me, I can help to do the further troubleshooting.

HI ,

log in the PBX via console or SSH,

and type

config softargu type 286 value 0

this command is to Whether to check the SIP user agent (0: disable) meaning it will allow other third-party phones to register in the PBX.

Once all that is done give the 7945 a static IP on your LAN. Forward ports 5060-5062 TCP and UDP and 16384 to 16399 UDP to the static IP of the 7945.

On PBX:
config system ip mode static address X.X.X.X/X
config system gateway ip X.X.X.X
config system workmode callmode ims switchmode manual
config ims softargu isintercallviaims no isserviceofferedbyims no
config add prefix dn 6 callcategory basic callattribute inter cldpredeal no minlen 4 maxlen 4
config add office selectcode no 0 repeatroute no
config add office no 0 officeselectcode 0
onfig softargu type 407 value 1
config softargu type 437 value 1
config softargu type 393 value 0
config softargu type 286 value 0
config add sipue eid 6000 authorizationtype noauth

-your extension number is 6000 no password

Hi if you run softargu type 286,, it is supposed to Accept registeration,,
the key point is to check whether if you have any other Cisco model can register Or not, if yes, it is Cisco phone issue not u19. for this i think better check wireshark capture to know Which parameter need modify, sometimes you need Edit configuration or XML file of cisco phone

hello Buss ,
Kindly try to download the last SIP SW version for the cisco IP phone as Huawei support the stander SIP protocol . and then do the following :
1-On the IPPBX U1911 change the softargu 286 to 0 using command [config softargu type 286 value 0] .
2-Add sip user on the IPPBX user configuration page for Example , user = 500 ,password=Huawei@123
3-configure the network setting for the phone statically with IP, Mask , GW . , SIP server IP :192.168.1.17
4-Configure the account on the IP phone as u configure it on the U1911 [500/Huawei@123] .
IF the problem still exists , Kindy configure the port mirroring on a Switch and capture the data between the IP phone & U1911 using the wire shark
and send this information to Huawei TAC [measupport@Huawei.com]
