Hi, guys

I met a problem cannot modify radio frequency to send only at 802.11b frequency, use command

[AC6605] wlan
[AC6605-wlan-view] ap-type type AP200
[AC6605-wlan-ap-type-AP200] radio radio0-type b

"Error: Cannot modify default AP type." It is always displayed when changing the type of radio 0 to 802.11b.

Does anyone know thanks

Hi@listena

"Radio radioX-type b" This command is for the ap that is not supported on the current ac. In this way, a new ap type is added, and then some parameters of this newly added ap are configured.

For supported AP types, use the supported rate set of the 802.11bg protocol configured in the radio profile to implement
[AC6605] wlan
[AC6605-wlan-view] radio-profile name radiopf
[AC6605-wlan-radio-prof-radiopf] 80211bg supported-rate 6 9
Among them, '6', '9' correspond to 6Mbps, 9Mbps, and correspond to 802.11 b radio type

Hi @listena

Firstly you need to know what are the commands and default config for 2GHz (801.11b)

The radio-type command sets the radio type in a 2G radio profile.
The undo radio-type command restores the default radio type in a 2G radio profile.

---> By default, the radio type in a 2G radio profile is dot11n. <---

Example  (Bind this radio profile under your AP or AP Group)

# Set the radio type to dot11b in a 2G radio profile.

<AC6605> system-view
[AC6605] wlan
[AC6605-wlan-view] radio-2g-profile name test
[AC6605-wlan-radio-2g-prof-default] radio-type dot11b

Here you can parameters descriptions

tt

Please let men know if you have further questions ?

Have a nice day
