Hi all
Can you please share any information with me about measuring sudden drop in traffic utilization?

Is there any alarm trigger or an event log to monitor IN NCE-T

Dear friend!

If the traffic on the channel suddenly decreases, the user may stop using a certain service or the client-side device is in the dormant state, for example, in the middle of the night. It is also possible that the transmission equipment is abnormal.

If you want to control traffic exceptions, you can set the POS_RX_BW_UTILIZATION performance event.

Related Information

Perform the following procedure to specify thresholds of the POS_RX_BW_UTILIZATION performance event for the POS_RX_FLOW_OVER alarm:

1. On the Physical Topology of NCE, right-click the desired NE and choose NE Explorer from the shortcut menu.

2. Select the board that supports the POS_RX_FLOW_OVER alarm and choose Performance > RMON Performance from the Function Tree.

3. In the displayed window, click RMON Setting and Event successively. Then specify the upper threshold in Upper Threshold and lower threshold in Lower Threshold for the POS_RX_BW_UTILIZATION performance event. The following figure shows how to specify a bandwidth utilization threshold.
