Hi, dear!

Good day to you!

Sometimes it's cheaper to make your own web page than to buy it. Can you share with me the steps to make crossover cable?

Thanks!

Hi, dear!

Welcome to our community!

The network cable consists of two RJ45 connectors, one CAT 5e cable, and boots.

cable

Use an RJ45 crimping tool to cut the CAT 5e cable.

  1. Insert the cable into the boots, and reserve at least 100 mm for the boots. Do not put the boots in reverse direction. The following picture shows the right direction.

  2. Use a blade or a knife to peel 20 mm off the jacket. Do not damage the insulation of the wires.

    cable

  3. Arrange the wires neatly according to the connection sequence of the network cables. Leave the wires with a length of 13 mm to 15 mm and cut off the redundant part, ensuring proper lengths of the remaining wires. Put the wires into the RJ45 connector.

    cable

  4. Use the RJ45 crimping tool to crimp the RJ45 connector. The metal cover on the connector should be lower than the plastic cover.

  5. Use a network cable tester to check and ensure the wires are properly connected.

  6. Push the boots to cover the RJ45 connector.

    cable

I wish you success.

When the straight-through cable is made, the sequences of both ends of the network cable should be consistent, that is, both ends of the network cable are sequence A or sequence B at the same time.

When the crossover cable is made, the sequences of both ends of the network cable should be inconsistent, that is, one end of the network cable is sequence A and the other end of the network cable is sequence B.
