How to loop E1 in PTN nodes (inloop and outloop)

Hi there just like SDH in PQ1 cards we can provide inloop and outloops on E1s is the same functionality availalbe on PTN nodes ? If yes how can we provide in and out loop in PTN like 3900, 7900 form any end.

Hi there!

Yes, the operation is as follows:

1. Select and right-click the target NE. Choose NE Explorer.

2. Select the target port in the NE Explorer.

a. Choose Configuration > Interface Management > PDH Interface from the Function Tree.

b. In the Advanced Attributes tab, select the target port.

c. Double-click the relevant Loopback Mode parameter and select the proper mode from the drop-down menu.

3. Click Apply. Then, the current loopback mode of the port is modified.

4. Click Query to make sure that the loopback status of the port is successfully modified.

You can try looping back the E1 on the PDH board.

The SDH board supports SDH port loopback, and the PDH board supports E1 port loopback. It is the same on SDH products.

Such as D2LM1A:

Double-click the board. Right-click Port 1 and choose Loop/Inloop from the shortcut menu, choose yes.
