Today, I will share with you how to install Ubuntu 18.04/20.04 on Taishan servers.
OK, let's get to the point.
What we need to prepare
Ubuntu images: Please download the 18.04/20.04 ARM images from the official website.

Sufficient disk space: Ensure that the space of the system root partition / is at least 150 GB.
How to install Ubuntu
1. Configure the BIOS parameter.
If your Raid card is Avago SAS3408iMR or Avago SAS3416iMR, you need to disable the Support SPCR function.
Login to the BIOS, and choose Advanced -> MISC Config -> Support SPCR, we need to Disabled it.
2. Configure the RAID Card.
If you need to configure RAID, you need to configure it before installing the OS; if not, you will be not detected the driver when installing the OS.

3. Mount the Ubuntu image to the virtual DVD driver.
a. Login to the BMC of the server.

The default username and password for logging into iBMC is Administrator and Admin@9000.
b. Click 'Virtual Console' -> 'HTML5 Integrated Remote Console'.
C. Mount the image file to the Virtual DVD driver.
4. Configure the boot from 'CD/DVD'
a. Login to the iBMC again.
b. Set the boot from 'CD/DVD'.
Click the System -> BIOS settings -> BOOT Device, we need to set the BOOT Medium to CD/DVD.
Please note that we need to Save it.
Notes: We need to mount the image file, and then set the BOOT from CD/DVD on iBMC, never change the order.
5. Restart the Server.
You can click the 
on the Virtual console to restart the server.
If you are successful, you will see the screen.
6. Install Ubuntu as you want
After you click the Install Ubuntu Server, the following screen will be displayed, and you just need to install it as prompted steps by steps.
7. Restart the Server after installation successfully
If you can see the screen, you have installed it successfully.
How about it? Isn't it very simple?
In general, the key steps are steps 3 and 4. Pay attention to the sequence of these steps. That is, mount the image file first, and then set the boot from the CD/DVD.
