How to install the eDC Software

hi, dear:
     I will tell you how to install the eDC Software:

Prerequisites:
1. You have obtained the software package from the support website. For example, eDC610 V100R005C00SPCXXX eDC610-HW.zip. The eDC610 V100R005C00.exe package has been obtained after decompressing the software package, and placed under the root directory.

2. The PCs for running the eDC software must meet the requirements. 

3. You have logged in to the OS as a user of the Administrator group.

4. Verify you are installing . NET Framework version 4.0 or later. We recommend you to install .NET Framework version 4.5.

5. The free space of the hard disk (C:\Program Files, by default) where the installation package is stored must be greater than or equal to 1 GB.

NOTE:
For Windows 10 operating system, the default file path is C:\Program Files(X86).


Procedure

  • Run eDC610 V100R005C00.exe.
    Double-click eDC610 V100R005C00.exe or right-click the eDC610 V100R005C00.exe and choose Run as Administrator from the shortcut menu. The Preparing Setup dialog box is displayed
    A user must run the eDC610 V100R005C00.exe installation package as an administrator. Otherwise, the installed eDCsoftware cannot be logged in to.

  • Enable the system to automatically decompress and install required data package.
    The Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for DConsole dialog box is displayed,

     NOTE:
    If Microsoft .NET Framework 4 and Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redisttributable are not installed in advance, the installation program first starts plug-in installation. Perform installation based on displayed information.
  • Click Next.
    The Customer Information dialog box is displayed.

  • Click Next.
    The Choose Destination Location dialog box is displayed

     NOTE:
    The eDC610 is 32 bits. If the Operating System (OS) of the eDC610 is 64 bits, the eDC software will be installed in the folder of C:\Program Files(x86). Otherwise, the eDC software will be installed in the selected path.
  • Click Next.
    The Ready to Install the Program dialog box is displayed.

  • Click Install.
    The Setup Status dialog box is displayed. The system automatically installs the program.

  • During installation, the InstallShield Wizard Complete dialog box is displayed .
    You are advised to select Yes, I want to restart my computer now. to restart the PC.

  • Click Finish to complete the installation.
Follow-up Procedure

Before using an eDC610, a user must set the firewall, power supply, time zone and time, and local connection for the eDC610
