Hi!

An ELOM board on an OptiX OSN 9800 NE reports the J0_MM alarm. What should I do?

Thank you!

Hi there!

This alarm means that the J0 byte or trace indicator mismatch. This alarm is generated when the received J0 byte is not consistent with the J0 byte to be received.

Possible Causes:The J0 byte mismatches,or the service connection is incorrect.

Procedure

1. Check whether the J0 byte to be transmitted by the board at the opposite station is set the same as the J0 byte to be received by the board at the local station. If they are inconsistent, set them to the same value.

2. If the alarm persists, bit errors may exist on the line. See the handling procedure of the B1_SD alarm for troubleshooting.

3. If the alarm persists, determine whether to replace the board as required because only the J0_MM alarm does not affect the services.

Thank you!

Hi user!

The J0_MM alarm is related to the J0 byte. If only the J0_MM alarm is reported, there is no impact on services. The cause of the J0_MM alarm is an inconsistency between the J0 byte received and the J0 byte to be received.

Thanks!
