Because many people are very concerned about how to obtain Huawei ONT firmware, so I will give you a more detailed explanation.
For access network products of the enterprise network
To obtain the correct ONT firmware or software, you can choose one of the following methods:
Method 1
1. Please click Enterprise access network to access the Access Network section of the support website of the enterprise network. All ONT products are displayed.
2. Please select and click on the product model you need (for example EchoLife EG8010H) -->Software Download. All released software related to the product can be found here.
3. Click and download the software you need.
If the information shown in the following figure is displayed, the website does not collect related content or you do not have the permission. Please click Contact Us and send an email for a consultation, or click How do we upgrade our account to view the upgrade permission guide.
NOTE: you need to have a Huawei account and authority to download the firmware, if you don't have the authority, please obtain permissions.
Perform the following steps:
Customers: Register a product or contract, and obtain permission to access or download the product.
Partners: Associate at your company, and obtain approval from the administrator of your company. Permissions are granted depending on the certification level of your company.
Method 2
Please contact the local Enterprise TAC team directly, and the dedicated staff will handle it for you.
NOTE: In this mode, you need to provide the product serial number or the contract number signed with Huawei. For enterprise-type contracts, the contract ID usually starts with 0Y0/00Y.
Method 3
If you do not have a contract with Huawei, we strongly recommend that you contact the company that supplies your products. as the first level of support should be provided by them (the company with whom your contract was signed).
For access network products of the carriers
To obtain the correct ONT firmware or software, you can choose one of the following methods:
Method 1
If you are an ISP (Internet Service Provider), please contact the Carrier TAC.
Method 2
If you are a device user, please contact your ISP or device provider.
Please note:
1. The ONT is used together with the OLT at the central site. The version must match the model. If the version is incorrect, the cannot be used. Therefore, you are advised to confirm the requirements with the supplier or local carrier to obtain the firmware and upgrade or downgrade the firmware under the guidance of professional personnel. Otherwise, the fault cannot be rectified. Please proceed with caution.
2. ONT's firmware or software will not be allowed to be downloaded randomly on the website, because it will increase the risk of the product being attacked by the network and cause the user's network environment to be insecure.
