Hi,

How to enable WAN from Ethernet on ONT HG8247H5?

From admin web page I found tab "WAN" but it doesn't contain any settings.

Maybe it's possible to run special commands?

With regards,

Yosef

Hello

Here are the user types and passwords. There are differences between the configuration rights of an administrator and a common user. A common user has no right to configure the parameters of certain nodes, such as WAN >WAN Configuration. Maybe this is your problem.

User Name and password:
Administrator (installation and maintenance personnel):
HG Series:
  • User name: telecomadmin

  • Password: admintelecom

Common user (terminal user):
HG Series:
  • User name: root

  • Password: adminHW

Thanks

Hi @wissal

Thank you for your advice about user, now I can see advanced WAN settings.

I found it but don't know how to configure it.
I connected to LAN1 ethernet cable from another router with internet.
After it added bridge configuration in WAN settings and tried to connect to it though WiFi.
It still doesn't have internet.

Could you help me step-by-step describe what I need to configure to be able to get internet by ethernet to this router and then to broadcast by WiFi.

Hello, friend!
According to the screenshot you provided, you configured a bridge WAN that is used only for transparently transmitting packets at Layer 2.
To access the Internet, you need to configure a Layer 3 route WAN. Generally, the configuration takes effect only when the configuration is consistent with that on the OLT.
You need to contact the ISP to remotely deliver ONT configurations.
Thanks!

Hi @chenxintao

My another router working with a simple configuration, it's not related to ISP.
Here I don't understand what to do to achieve the same result. Our ISP is not familiar with this model.
Maybe do you have step-by-step instructions with pictures?

Hello, friend!
This can be implemented not only by configuring the ONT, but also by enabling the corresponding service functions on the upper-layer device. For details, see the following:
