Hi,

we have huawei MA5600 DSLAM ,the adsl ports of it can't lean mac address dynamically and we have to add the mac address of the customer in static manner, so how can we enable adsl port learn mac address dynamically in MA5600?

The following is the disp version of SCUB car

Ma5600(config)#display version

{ <cr>|frameid/slotid<S><Length 1-15>|spm<K> }:

Command:display version

Hello, friend!

I'm sorry I didn't get your latest reply in time, so I reply to you late.

Check whether anti-macspoofing is enabled.

If anti-macspoofing is enabled, the display mac-address all command output shows no user-side MAC address. You need to run the config#display security bind mac command.

mac

Collect the following information for confirmation:

MA5600(config)#display board 0

MA5600(config)#display patch all

MA5600(config)#display current-configuration

MA5600(config)#display security config

mac

MA5600(config)#display traffic F/S/P              //3 times

MA5600(config)#display statistics F/S/P           //3 times

MA5600(config)#display statistics F/S/P VPI VCI   //3 times

MA5600(config)#display security bind mac

Thanks!

Usage Guidelines

When the maximum number of dynamic MAC addresses learning is 0, the binding between the port and the MAC address can be indirectly implemented in the following cases: the user who is configured with the static MAC address is accessed, the PPPOE and DHCP users enable the anti MAC-spoofing function, or the DHCP user enables the option82 switch on level 3 or level 2.

Example

To query the maximum number of dynamic MAC addresses learning of the service channel with ADSL port 0/3/0 and VPI/VCI 0/35, do as follows:

huawei#display mac-address max-mac-count     { shdsl<K>|atm<K>|e3<K>|ima<K>|eth<K>|vdsl<K>|adsl<K> }:adsl                     { frameid/slotid/portid<S><5,7> }:0/3/0 { <cr>|vpi<K>|autosense<K> }:vpi                                                { vpi<U><0,4095> }:0                                                            { vci<K> }:vci                                                                  { vci<U><32,65535> }:35                                                         { <cr>|single-service<K>|user-encap<K>|user-vlan<K>|user-8021p<K> }:

VLAN ID etc.), the VPI is access-end VLAN ID in vdsl/eau port
or PON ID in gpon port

To query the MAC address on the PTM attribute flow of port 0/3/0 distinguished by user VLAN, do as follows:

Hello, friend!

You can run the mac address max-mac-count command to enable the ADSL port to dynamically learn MAC addresses.

mac-address max-mac-count { adsl | shdsl } frameid/slotid/portid { vpi vpi vci vci [ single-service | user-encap user-encap | user-vlan { untagged | user-vlanid } | user-8021p user-8021p ] | autosense } count

Example:

To set the maximum number of learnable dynamic MAC addresses of a service virtual port (VPI/VCI: 0/35, user-side VLAN: 100) under ADSL port 0/3/0 as 10, do as follows:

huawei(config)#mac-address max-mac-count

{ adsl<K>|all<K>|atm<K>|board<K>|e3<K>|eth<K>|ima<K>|shdsl<K>|vdsl<K> }:adsl

{ frameid/slotid/portid<S><5,7> }:0/3/0

{ vpi<K>|autosense<K> }:vpi

{ vpi<U><0,4095> }:0

{ vci<K> }:vci

{ vci<U><32,65535> }:35

{ count<U><0,255>|single-service<K>|user-8021p<K>|user-encap<K>|user-vlan<K> }:

user-vlan

{ untagged<K>|user-vlanid<U><1,4095> }:100

{ count<U><0,255> }:10

  Command:

          mac-address max-mac-count adsl 0/3/0 vpi 0 vci 35 user-vlan 100 10

Note:

After a static MAC address is set for a service port and the maximum number of dynamic MAC addresses that can be learned is set to 0, the port receives only the user data of the configured static MAC address. In this way, the MAC address binding function is implemented.

When a static MAC address is added to a specified service channel or an upstream port in a specified VLAN, if the same dynamic MAC address already exists on the service channel or upstream port, the system overwrites the original dynamic MAC address. If the same static MAC address exists, the configuration fails

The system allows a maximum of 8192 service ports to be dynamically bound with MAC addresses.

A maximum of eight MAC addresses can be dynamically bound to each service port.

I hope this helps you.

Thanks!

We run the above command , the result is like this:

MA5600# display mac-address max-mac-count adsl 0/5/56
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Type F /S /P VPI VCI VLAN ID FLOWTYPE FLOWPARA Learnable MAC number
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
adsl 0 /5 /56 0 33 1016 - - 255
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

MA5600# display mac-address port 0/5/56
Failure: There is not any MAC address record

The result shows that the maximum learnable mac-address is 255 but port can't learn any mac-address dynamically. So we have to use static mac learning manner in this DSLAM.

You can run the mac address max-mac-count command to enable the ADSL port to dynamically learn MAC addresses.

We exactly run that command under inteface adsl 0/5/56 ,for example, and other adsl ports in the other ADEE and ADEF cards but again the ports couldn't learn mac address dynamically

Hi, friend!
I've updated my reply, please check!
Thanks!

Hello, friend!

I'm sorry I didn't get your latest reply in time, so I reply to you late.

Check whether anti-macspoofing is enabled.

If anti-macspoofing is enabled, the display mac-address all command output shows no user-side MAC address. You need to run the config#display security bind mac command.

mac

Collect the following information for confirmation:

MA5600(config)#display board 0

MA5600(config)#display patch all

MA5600(config)#display current-configuration

MA5600(config)#display security config

mac

MA5600(config)#display traffic F/S/P              //3 times

MA5600(config)#display statistics F/S/P           //3 times

MA5600(config)#display statistics F/S/P VPI VCI   //3 times

MA5600(config)#display security bind mac

Thanks!
