A server that is used as a monitoring server (RH22XXV3 model). We want this server to synchronize time with all cameras. Where can I enable the NTP service? The system is installed Server2019.
Start the NTP server based on the OS startup mode. For details, see the operation guide of the OS vendor.
Configuring NTP Synchronization
Procedure (Windows)
If the server OS is Windows, iBMC time = OS time + iBMC time zone. To ensure that the iBMC time is the same as the OS time, run the timezone command in the iBMC CLI to set the time zone to 0:00.
Set the iBMC time zone.
1. Log in to the iBMC CLI.
2. Run the timezone command to set the iBMC time zone. For Windows, the recommended time zone of iBMC is 0:00.
a) If the iBMC time zone is 0:00, the iBMC time is the same as the OS time.
b) If the iBMC time zone is not 0:00, the iBMC time is the OS time plus the iBMC time zone.
Change the OS time zone and time.
1. Log in to the server OS.
2. Change the OS time and time zone.
Verify the NTP synchronization.
1. Five minutes later, log in to the iBMC CLI or WebUI.
2. Query the iBMC time and verify that it is the same as the OS time.
