How to enable https in HG8245Q2?

Hi,


I am trying to use wget to download a file. I am succesful with http servers but not https. How can I enable https on HG8245Q2 ONT?


WAP(Dopra Linux) # wget http://address/file

Connecting to address (address:80)

WAP(Dopra Linux) # wget https://address/file

Connecting to address (address:443)

wget: can't execute 'ssl_helper': No such file or directory

wget: error getting response: Connection reset by peer

hostport is https://address

remote_path is /source/file

Hello,

1. In most cases, the default user name for logging in to the web page is root, the password is admin and the IP address is 192.168.100.1. However, for security reasons, the default password or IP address may have been changed before delivery. The nameplate prevails. Enter the IP address in the address bar of your browser.


2. Enter the default login account and password on the nameplate on the rear of the ONT and click Login.


3. Click the Network Application tab and then choose DNS Configuration from the navigation tree. In the right pane, configure DNS template, DNS parameters and you can also configure static DNS domain name resolution.




4. Click Apply.


ParameterDescription
Dns templateIndicates a DNS template. It can be set to DEFAULT, PRIORITY, or INTERNET.
Domain NameIndicates the DNS domain name.
WAN NameIndicates the WAN port of the static DNS configuration.
DNS ServerIndicates the DNS server address.
IP AddressIndicates the IP address resolved by using the static domain name.

Hi,
DNS is configured in the ONT as I am able to ping just about anything and download files from http servers in the Internet.
My problem is fetching files from https servers. Basically something like this "wget http://address/file" works but "wget https://address/file" does not. It looks like a https problem, not DNS.

Hello,
What kind of information do you need exactly? The output of the "collect debug info" command mentioned in the link you provided is too large and therefore exceeds this message's maximum characters limit.

I still haven't managed to receive or send files using HTTPS when logged into the ONT terminal.
