How to downgrade a switch

Is the downgrade method the same as that of upgrading the switch?

Yes, The procedure for downgrading a switch is the same as that for upgrading it.

The main procedure is to specify the previous version as the startup version and restart the system.

Pay attention to the following points:

1. It is highly recommended that you back up important files before a downgrade.

2. An earlier software version is incompatible with the later version, therefore, configuration data may be lost when you perform a version downgrade.

3. Must perform the reset boot password to restore the default BootLoad password before the downgrade, otherwise, the BootROM or BootLoad password may be invalid or the switch may work abnormally.
