Dear friend!
VoIP applications work based on the voice protocol. After the SIP protocol is disabled, VoIP services cannot be restored. If you need to access external services through the VoIP application (not provided by the ISP), you can only use the VPN. If you do not need to access external services through the VoIP application, you only need to change the route to the local WAN, however, only the intranet (services provided by the ISP) can be restricted. For details, contact the device provider or ISP for a solution.

Thanks!

It is possible that the function is disabled on the NMS side, but the command is not issued to the NE. Please check whether the function is actually disabled.

Hi friend!
For more SIP ALG information you can check What is SIP ALG?

Dear friend!

The reason you can't find the page you want to control may be that your account does not have sufficient permissions.

Please log into the web management page of the device as an administrator. In the navigation tree on the left, choose Advanced Configuration >Voice > VoIP Basic Configuration. In the pane on the right, parameters of a VoIP interface can be configured, including the IP addresses of the primary server and secondary server, and digitmap. If you don't want to use it in the future, you can select the user you do not want in the user list and click Delete. If you want to use this function later, select a user from the user list and deselect Enable Use. Then click Apply.

Another method is to switch the SIP protocol to the H.248 protocol. Click the Advanced Configuration > Voice tab, and choose SIP/H.248 Protocol Conversion from the navigation tree on the left. After you switch to H.248, click Apply.

Thanks!

Hi there!
Exercise caution when performing this operation because it will interrupt the ongoing call and delete current data.
You are advised to disable the user status.

In addition, check whether your device is a customized device provided by the ISP. If yes, some configuration operations cannot be performed on the web page of the device. You are advised to contact the ISP to apply for modification.

Thnaks!

Hi Friend,

I always use a VPN for my VoIP App to work but when i turn off the VPN it always says calls unavailable some of my colleagues has the same issue then they tried changing their router and disabled the SIP and the VoIP app worked for them without using a VPN, well i don't have a spare router for that and I'm also not sure what kind of router to pick for that's why i came in this forum hoping to solve this issue and helped others too.

As you describe, your VOIP works on a VPN basis. If you turn off the VPN, the VOIP will certainly lose its connection.

The configuration of the EG8145V5 must match that of the peer OLT. If you modify the configuration on the local end but not on the peer end, the communication parameters of the ONT and the OLT may not match, and the device cannot work properly.
