Hi everyone,

My client just bought s5700-10P-PWR-LI for their ip phones. where having a hard time configuring the device since after boots up this prompt appears:

Easy-operation Enter DHCP State.

Ip setting from dhcp server is failed. Easy-operation will enter init state.

 Easy-operation Enter Initialization State.

 Easy-operation Enter DHCP State.

Ip setting from dhcp server is failed. Easy-operation will enter init state.

 Easy-operation Enter Initialization State.

 Easy-operation Enter DHCP State.

how can i exit from this prompt to continue on user-view

thanks,

Gian

I think they want to use Easy-operation feature to configure the switch, but there's no Easy-operation server. So the switch cannot obtain IP address from the server.

If you want to use Easy-operation, please refer to product document:

http://support.huawei.com/enterprise/productsupport?lang=en&pid=6691579&idAbsPath=7919710|9856733|7923144|6691579

If not, you can enter boot menu(press ctrl+B after power on), clear the startup configuration file and startup again.

Hi,

they still not enable the easy-operation. this device was fresh out of the box. i think easy-operation was not enabled by default as per configuration guide, it is quite unusual.

Can the swith finally start up? Can you enter command line at last?

Or does the switch always print the following information?

 Easy-operation Enter DHCP State.

Ip setting from dhcp server is failed. Easy-operation will enter init state.

 Easy-operation Enter Initialization State.

Before i check the switch physically, it will always print that error.

the solution seems weird, I tried to use another pc and different console cable to remote the switch via console and i didn't encounter the easy operation prompt anymore. tried to put in back again from the first pc that i'd use and the error comes back again. i still can't say that the console cable was faulty because i can see the boot output while the switch was booting so it means i'm succesfully connected via console.
