A standalone SC provides the media routing function (also called media forwarding or media traversal). The media route bandwidth is controlled by the SC license. On the SMC2.0 web interface, click the SC name. The Details page is displayed, on which you can view the Maximum traversal traffic and Used traversal traffic.
If Used traversal traffic reaches the maximum value, subsequent calls requiring media routing cannot be set up. The SC determines whether to conduct media routing according to the following rules:
- Whether media routing restrictions are configured between the zones to which the calling and called parties belong. If Media Routing restrictions are configured, the SC conducts media routing. Otherwise, the SC continues to determine whether to conduct media routing.
- Whether Enable media route is enabled for the zones through which calls pass. If Enable media route is enabled for any zone, the SC conducts media routing. Otherwise, the SC continues to determine whether to conduct media routing.
